According to James Hardie, its fiber cement siding, trim, and soffit carry a substrate limited warranty of 30 years that is both non-prorated and transferable. Non-prorated means the coverage does not shrink year over year the way many exterior-product warranties do — the stated protection stays in place across the term rather than paying out less as the product ages.
