Service Regions Across Northern California

We group our 16 service-area cities into six regions — from the Sacramento metro and foothills to Tahoe, Wine Country, Marin, the Bay Area, and the Central Coast.

Our Northern California Coverage

AlderStone Remodel works from a core service area within roughly a 100-mile radius of Sacramento — the capital city, the Placer and El Dorado foothills, Gold Country, and the Tahoe/Truckee high Sierra — and extends west and south to Wine Country, Marin, the Bay Area Peninsula, and the Central Coast. Each region below has its own hub page linking to every city we serve there, along with the full range of our remodeling and exterior services. Prefer a full A–Z list? See all locations.

Sacramento Metro

The capital city and its inner suburbs

The Sacramento metro anchors our service area, spanning the capital city and the fast-growing suburbs along the Highway 50 corridor toward Folsom Lake. It covers more than a century of housing — from the Victorians and Craftsman bungalows of central Sacramento to the master-planned neighborhoods of Folsom and El Dorado Hills. Hot Central Valley summers make cooling load, insulation, and Title 24 energy compliance central to how we plan every project here.

Placer County & the I-80 Foothills

Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay & Auburn

Placer County stretches from the valley-floor suburbs of Roseville and Rocklin up the Interstate 80 corridor into the Sierra foothills at Auburn. The housing runs from 1990s–2010s master-planned subdivisions and large-lot estates near Folsom Lake to Gold-Rush-era historic homes in Auburn's Old Town. Roseville is our home base, so these cities are minutes from our crews.

Sacramento Valley & Delta

Stockton, Lodi, Yuba City, Vacaville & the valley floor

Beyond the immediate Sacramento metro, our service area reaches across the Sacramento Valley and the San Joaquin Delta — north to Yuba City and Marysville, south to Lodi and the Delta port city of Stockton, and west toward the Bay through Vacaville and Fairfield. These communities share a hot, dry Central Valley climate that puts cooling load, insulation, and Title 24 energy performance front and center, alongside deep stocks of historic downtown Victorians and Craftsman homes and fast-growing newer subdivisions. Foothill-edge neighborhoods around Vacaville and Fairfield also carry wildfire exposure we plan for.

Gold Country & Nevada County

Grass Valley & Nevada City

Nevada County's Gold Country sits in the forested Sierra foothills northeast of Sacramento, centered on the historic mining towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City. Both are known for well-preserved Victorian and Craftsman homes, downtown historic districts, and wooded rural properties on well and septic. The entire area carries high wildland-urban-interface wildfire risk, so ignition-resistant materials and defensible space are central to exterior work.

Tahoe & Truckee

High-Sierra mountain construction

Truckee and Tahoe City sit high in the Sierra Nevada around Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe's north and west shore, at roughly 5,800–6,300 feet. Building here means engineering for heavy snow loads, deep freeze-thaw cycles, and extreme wildfire exposure — and, unlike most of California, siding follows James Hardie's HZ5 high-Sierra specification rather than the HZ10 zone. Lakefront work near Tahoe also falls under Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) coverage and Best Management Practice rules.

Wine Country & Marin

Napa & San Rafael / Marin County

West of Sacramento, Napa anchors California's Wine Country while San Rafael serves as the hub of Marin County north of the Golden Gate. Both areas mix historic downtown Victorians and bungalows with hillside and mid-century homes on hilly terrain. Two regional realities shape our work here: seismic risk — underscored by the 2014 South Napa earthquake and Marin's nearby faults — and hillside wildland-urban-interface wildfire exposure.

Bay Area & Central Coast

Palo Alto, Santa Cruz & Carmel

Our extended reach runs from the Peninsula down to the Central Coast — from Palo Alto's Eichler mid-century-modern homes to Santa Cruz's coastal Victorians and beach cottages and Carmel-by-the-Sea's storybook village. These high-value markets bring specialized realities: Eichler post-and-beam construction and radiant slabs, salt-air corrosion on the coast, seismic risk near the San Andreas fault, and strict design review and Coastal Commission jurisdiction near the shoreline.
