Trade-offs

  • Can warp, sag, or become brittle under prolonged high heat and UV over time.
  • Combustible and can melt or ignite near flame, so it is a poor fit for high fire-hazard WUI zones.
  • A less premium look than fiber cement or engineered wood.
  • Color is set at purchase; you cannot repaint to a new color easily.
